appleHomestead Day Care II, LLC Preschool Center is conveniently located near the intersection of Hwy. 20 and Hwy 36, in the Town of Rochester, at 29200B Evergreen Drive, Waterford, WI 53185. At this location we are licensed for 35 children and accept the ages of 2 to 11 years old.

The center is divided into three classrooms:  2, 3, and 4/5 year olds.  Each classroom follows a daily schedule which, in addition to the teacher implemented curriculum, involves daily personal hygiene, meals, indoor and outdoor play, and a rest period.

To help the children gain a better understanding of each weekly curriculum theme, our teachers use a variety of techniques in their lesson plans.  Art activities, dramatic play, reading and writing, and hands on activities are only a few of the tools used.

We have a very large nature orientated play yard, where the children find a variety of outdoor play equipment, toys, and activities to engage in.

For safety reasons, Homestead Day Care, LLC chooses in house field trips as an alternate to transporting the children out of the center.  In the past, we have participated in the Racine Zoo’s educational program, visits from the local Fire Department, a lesson from Carl Debelak “The Bubble Man”,  Rick Allen “The Magician’s” performance, and more.  On a weekly basis, we have an in house tumbling class taught by Rashel’s Dance Studio.  This gives the children an extra opportunity to develop large muscle skills in a structured manner.

Attention Parents!Allergy Reminder

Just a quick reminder to everyone that we do have a peanut allergy in our daycare.  As much as we love all your treats, please do not bring any treats that have any kind of nut, peanut or peanut butter.  Always remember to check ingredient labels on packages before bringing them into the daycare.  Even if you know the product does not contain any nuts, still check the label. Sometimes different products are made in the same machines causing traces of nuts or their oils to be in another product.  In this case, many packages will have a special note concerning allergies.  If not, please take a minute to read through the ingredients and make sure there are no nuts.  Also, always leave all labels on store-purchased foods.  We always double check our food labels before serving the food.

The allergic reaction caused by nuts can be very serious.  So please check all labels carefully before bringing in treats.

No Cars Running
in Parking Lot

CarThe State of Wisconsin has ruled that it is a hazard to children when cars are left running while children are dropped off and picked up in winter and summer.  We are informing you of this in writing and will post it as well.  We agree with this ruling and will enforce it as necessary.  Please follow this ruling.

Thank You,
