About Us

Homestead Day Care, LLC… Instead of Home

Homestead is a privately owned, state licensed day care center. We provide “quality,” not “quantity” child care.

BearLinda Seidler opened Homestead Day Care, LLC as a “Family Day Care Center” on August 23, 1992, licensed to care for 8 children.   This allowed Linda the opportunity to be home for her own family while pursuing her passion of caring for and teaching children.

In 1995, Linda branched out into a Group Day Care Center, caring for 20 children.  Soon, thereafter, she was approached by area schools to set up on-site school-age care.  This led to the two Before and After School Programs that Linda now runs at neighboring schools.

Linda loves her job and with the help of long term, high quality and child loving staff, her center was able to grow into a second site in January of 2004, located in the Town of Rochester.  After seeing the need for separating the once multi-age setting into more age specific classrooms, Linda transformed her original site into an Infant-Toddler Center. The second site features the Preschool Center.

We now have 4 locations and approximately 20 quality staff to help children grow into great young adults.

Homestead Day Care, LLC has an open door policy.  We welcome anyone regardless of sex, race, color, national origin, religious or political persuasion or handicaps, between the ages of 6 week and 11 years.

Homestead’s Purpose

Help Children:

  • Develop a positive self-image
  • Be independent
  • Learn good eating habits through nutritious meals
  • Develop positive ways of interacting with children and adults
  • Provide a safe and “homelike” atmosphere where children can be cared for while parents are elsewhere

Homestead’s Goals

Children will be loved and cared for in a way they will feel “at home.” Day care is an adjustment for any child and our intent is to make that adjustment easier for both parent and child.
